Simple, quick, easy, and oh-so-healthy - these lettuce wraps are sure to become a favourite!
canola oil, for cooking
1 lb (454 g) ground turkey
1 red pepper, cored and diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 Tbsp (15 mL) fresh ginger, grated
¼ cup (60 mL) cilantro stems, chopped
¼ cup (60 mL) red lentils
1⁄3 cup (85 mL) hoisin sauce
1 Tbsp (15 mL) soy sauce (or tamari for a gluten-free option)
2-3 green onions, chopped
1 head butter, romaine, or leaf lettuce chopped
Peanuts, for garnish
fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)
