  • 3 Tbsp (45 mL) olive oil
  • 1 ½ tsp (7 mL) cumin
  • 1 ½ tsp (7 mL) ground coriander
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) paprika
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) garlic powder
  • ½ tsp (2 mL) cinnamon
  • ½ tsp (2 mL) turmeric
  • 7 cups (1.75 L) cooked whole red (brown) lentils
  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) lemon juice
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) salt
  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) honey

Directions

  1. Warm oil in a sauté pan over medium heat. Add cumin, coriander, paprika, garlic, cinnamon, and turmeric and allow to bloom for 30-60 seconds.
  2. Add the lentils and toss to coat evenly. Finish with lemon, salt, and honey.

Add this protein topper to salads, bowls, rice or other grains, and more to add a flavor-packed protein punch.
